Partition Of A Living Landscape - The separation of humanity from its source of life - Jessica Owen
106 x 106 cms original acrylic on canvas - Jessica Owen.
We rather excitedly introduce the first in a body of work from Jessica Owen that will look at the impact of man on our landscape. In her own words. "The degradation of nature began with enclosure of the land back in 1600. Mans greed for ownership, wealth and status with the mind set of the individual not the whole. The ironic symbol of the apple being eaten away at until tossed in a bin, looking to space to the next planets to master, damaging our own home further. Environmental crisis devouring feating on nature. No truly wild places left in England, treading a fine line, carving up of a living space."
